ANDREA BURGAY

Andrea Burgay is an accomplished artist hailing from Syracuse, New York. Her unique skillset lies in her ability to expertly manipulate paper and create stunning collages. With her masterful technique, Burgay transports viewers into a brilliantly executed surreal reality. 

 

It’s really interesting how Andrea deconstructs the tangibility of a piece of paper, morphing the single plane into an explosion of colour and texture. Her pieces exude a delicate quality and create a remarkably tense atmosphere from the abstract collages being reconstructed tightly together.

Burgay is also the founder and editor of Cut Me Up, a participatory collage magazine and curatorial project. And has numerously exhibited her work both in the US and internationally.
