PEBBLE AT ARCADIA | ROB MULHOLLAND

Commissioned by Arcadia Studios, Sculptor Rob Mulholland shaped these reflective metal surfaces into a round pebble-like sculpture.

 

What makes this piece truly captivating is the way in which it interacts with its surroundings, distorting and reflecting different aspects of the environment in a brilliant display of shape and form. The reflective metal surface of the sculpture has a hypnotic effect on the viewer, drawing yo-yo in to explore the distorted reflections of the world around us. It prompts appreciation of the ever-changing environment and I’m certain it would be wonderful to witness this sculpture during the different seasons.
